Ramesh Kesavan, MD

Dr. Ramesh Kesavan is a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine. He brings a wealth of experience to our practice, having completed advanced post-graduate training in Pulmonary Transplantation at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. His distinguished career spans multiple prestigious institutions, including his role as a lung transplant faculty member at Baylor, where he gained extensive experience in managing advanced pulmonary diseases.

Dr. Kesavan specializes in the diagnosis and management of complex lung conditions such as COPD, asthma, pulmonary fibrosis, alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, and tuberculosis. With deep expertise in lung transplantation, he has a strong clinical focus on end-stage lung disease and the early detection of lung cancer. He is passionate about patient education and shared decision-making, ensuring that individuals are active participants in their healthcare journey.

He is also at the forefront of advanced pulmonary procedures, including ION robotic-assisted bronchoscopy and endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), offering patients access to cutting-edge diagnostic tools.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Kesavan serves on national committees with the American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP) and the Association of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Program Directors (APCCMPD). He is currently the Program Director of the Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood and holds an academic appointment as Adjunct Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Houston College of Medicine.
